The newest member of the Spectrum family of triangular beaters is an end-weighted teardrop-style beater. The playing surface measures 1 5/8 inches long, tapers to 1/8 inch, and is precision-machined from the same bronze alloy as the original Spectrum beater series. The continuous taper provides the possibility of multiple dynamics from a single beater and helps execute more consistent, fuller-sounding rolls. In turn, the bronze end naturally produces a warm, lush tone.
