Ed Soph, associate professor of jazz studies at the University of North Texas and drummer in many great bands, including those of Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, Bill Watrous, and Clark Terry, helped Innovative Percussion develop this new line of drumsticks. The first in this series of combo sticks, the Ed Soph sticks are available in maple for combo or small band playing or white walnut for big band playing and feature an acorn-shaped bead for clarity on snare drums and cymbals.
