The Salyers Percussion PCX13 features a lightweight 1 1/8” plastic ball that is light, bright, and excellent for softer passages on bells. The rattan sticks have the same diameter and flexibility. The uncoiled sticks in the Performance Collection are designed to offer a wide selection of sonic possibilities to the advanced percussionist. The available head sizes are 1”, 1 1/8”, and 1 1/4”. The rattan size sets this series apart from any other series available. The tendency to use very thick rattan in uncoiled sticks results in a stiff handle that does not allow for the natural flex of the rattan to help get the best sound from the keys. We use a rattan size that feels good but flexes enough to help you get the best possible sound from your instruments.
