Modern Interpretation of Tibetan Singing Bowls
The 8″ Lotus crystal singing bowl has a diameter of approximately 20 cm and is made of quartz crystal. The material used achieves excellent sound properties through a special manufacturing process in which the glass is melted and centrifuged into the desired shape. Visually, the instrument is completed with an elegant frosted glass design with a rough, white surface and a colorful lotus design.

Crystal singing bowls, like traditional bronze or brass alloy variants, produce spherical, long-lasting sounds with a powerful base and singing harmonics. In direct comparison, the modern glass version sounds even slightly clearer and significantly longer-lasting than its metal counterpart.

Tuned to one of the seven main chakras
Each crystal singing bowl in the Lotus series is matched in color and sound to one of the seven energy centers of traditional chakra teachings. This makes them particularly suitable for meditation, as well as for sound massage and therapeutic purposes, as the harmonic voice of singing bowls can help relieve stress and harmonize the body and mind.

The 8″ violet model is oriented toward the crown chakra and tuned to the note B. However, in the 432 Hz version, the concert note A is not at the standard Western frequency of 440 Hz, but at 432 Hz. This tuning is said to have, among other things, a particularly relaxing and calming effect. However, this singing bowl does not harmonize with conventionally tuned instruments. It should be played alone or alongside other 432 Hz instruments, such as our Sela Unity Handpans.

The Lotus crystal singing bowl comes with a wooden mallet specially designed for use with crystal singing bowls. With its Asian Schima wood handle, it fits very comfortably in the hand, and its rubberized head allows for gentle tapping and rubbing of the Tibetan singing bowls. Depending on the technique and intensity, different tones can be achieved with the crystal singing bowl. In addition, an included silicone ring ensures a secure fit and optimal vibration behavior of the bowl, so it can unleash its full sound potential at any time.
