The piccolo trumpet straight mute is no available with a yellow brass sheet insert at the bottom part. It gives the same intonation, articulation, and all the playability advantages, like the original Model No. 1, but with provide a  metallic color and “buzz” playing characteristic in the sound. 

The geometry provides a sound that carries easily with excellent intonation.  Very quick response and clear articulation. The surface is a single unit without attached parts. Works great on piston and rotary valve piccolo trumpets as well.
