Tuning Slides
The Artist model offers two tuning slide configurations that balance traditional design with modern acoustic innovation.
• The traditional tuning slide preserves classic geometry, providing natural feedback, balanced resistance, and the familiar feel preferred by many players.
• The reverse double leadpipe features a premium dual reverse-tube design while maintaining the traditional leadpipe brace position. This configuration blends the stability and tonal integrity of conventional construction with enhanced airflow and refined pitch control. The exterior retains a classic appearance, while the internal design delivers a sophisticated acoustic balance.

Ma Jie, Professional Trumpet Performer & Brass Instrument Designer.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Sichuan Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Professor Gao Ren, and obtained his master’s degree from Schulich School of Music, McGill University. Currently he is pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree, studying with Professor Richard Stoelzel.
He serves as director of Sichuan Trumpet Society. He once held the position of principal trumpet in multiple professional orchestras and worked as guest soloist. He studies Chinese and Western brass art concepts, and is familiar with mainstream design styles, classic models and innovative improvement directions in the industry.
While pursuing performance expertise, he researches instrument structure and manufacturing techniques. Drawing on practical performing experience, he balances acoustic performance, playing comfort and aesthetic design. Appointed as Chief Brass Designer of Gemini Musical Instruments, he takes charge of product research and development, model upgrading and high-end customization, contributing professional expertise to the brand development.
